MEG HOLGATE

Meg Holgate's paintings are meditations on the quiet perfection of the natural world. Working with delicate veils of muted color, subtle line, and thoughtful composition, she creates pieces that balance light and shadow, stillness and movement, intimacy and expansiveness. Her work is less about documenting a place and more about capturing a fleeting moment of beauty and the emotional resonance it leaves behind.

Raised between New York and London during the 1960's, Holgate developed an early fascination with both the Old Masters and the emerging voices of mid-century modernism. These influences continue to inform her visual language, which is grounded in a lifelong study of art, philosophy, and creative practice. Through painting, she finds a space of serenity and possibility, inviting viewers to embark on their own personal journey through her work.
